1948 BABE RUTH FIGURAL DESK CLOCK

1948 BABE RUTH FIGURAL DESK CLOCK

This classic electric clock features a 5″ bronze bust of the Babe in his Yankee pinstriped glory, flanked by a pair of bronze baseballs that read “Lifetime 714 Home Runs” and “One Season 60 Home Runs.” The base of the bust is engraved “Babe Ruth,” and a 1″ x 3-1/2″ window directly below shows hours, minutes and seconds in a rotary display. Produced as tavern punch-board prizes after Ruth’s death in 1948, these heavy wood-based showpieces are highly sought-after Bambino collectibles. The offered example displays EX to EX/MT condition but does not appear to be in working order. (It is easily repaired by a clock shop at a nominal expense.) A fine desktop tribute to the great Sultan of Swat and all the home runs he “clocked” during his legendary career.

TOMMY LASORDA SIGNED CONTRACT

TOMMY LASORDA SIGNED CHECK

One of the greatest and most bombastic Managers of all time, this ONE OF A KIND piece comes directly from the Topps Auction in 1989. It is the contract Tommy signed for his first card since his 1954 Topps rookie card. 19 years later as a Coach for the Dodgers under Manager Walter Alston, Tommy was paid the whopping sum of 5 dollars to appear on 1973 Topps card #569. His head shot was about the size of a dime, but certainly not Tommy’s ego! The contract is dated 12-12-72 as is his Topps paycheck. The contract is signed by Tommy and then Topps Honcho, Sy Berger. The check is endorsed twice by Lasorda, first signing ‘Tom Lasorda’ and then ‘Thomas Charles Lasorda’. It is also signed by his wife, Joan Lasorda. They celebrated their 61’st Wedding Anniversary on April 10, 2011. Simply an AMAZING piece for the True Blue Dodger Fan! Don Larsen Autographed 8” x 10” Photo

Don Larsen Autographed 8x10 Photo

Don Larsen spun a fairly average major league career. He bounced around between seven different teams over 15 years and posted an 81-91 record with a 3.78 earned run average. What was more interesting about him was his lifestyle.

According to some Don was good with the ladies and liked to do a lot of late night carousing and drinking. Casey Stengel, the New York Yankees Manager during Don’s most successful stop in the Majors, once said, “The only thing he fears is sleep.”

However, Don is known for none of these things. Don had one game that New Yorkers and baseball fans will never forget, one that likely swayed the momentum for the Bronx Bombers during the 1956 World Series against the crosstown National League rival Brooklyn Dodgers. With the series tied at two games apiece, Don retired all 27 batters he faced and authored the first and only postseason perfect game in major league history.

Despite being the only athlete to stand up TJ for an appointed interview, as a devout Yankee fan, even TJ applauds this amazing feat! This photo commemorates the game with an image of Don throwing the final pitch of the game and an inset box score. Don autographed this picture in perfect, strong blue Sharpie.

Hank Aaron Autographed 8” x 10” Photo

Hank Aaron Autographed 8x10 Photo

Hammerin’ Hank once said, “I came to the Braves on business, and I intended to see that business was good as long as I could.” Aaron’s intentions were certainly fulfilled when a couple of years after joining the Braves, Milwaukee celebrated a World Series victory over the high powered New York Yankees. Business was so good for Hank that by the time his career ended, Hank was a member of the 3,000 hit club and the all-time leader in home runs and runs batted in.

What Hank doesn’t get credit for is his incredibly deceptive speed in the outfield, as he was known in league circles as an incredible outfielder and handler of the baseball. Hank autographed this photo in perfect blue sharpie.

Willie Mays Autographed Official National League Baseball

Willie Mays Autographed Official National League Baseball

Willie Mays is unarguably the greatest living baseball player, and may just be the greatest baseball player of all-time. The Say Hey Kid helped spawn the term “five-tool player” because Willie could hit for average, hit for power, run, field and throw.

In Game 1 the 1951 World Series, Willie made what baseball fans simply refer to as “The Catch,” a sprinting, over the shoulder grab of a long fly ball hit by the Indians’ Vic Wertz. Willie penned his unique autograph across the sweet spot of this National League ball in strong blue ballpoint pen.

Joe DiMaggio Autographed Official American League Baseball

Joe DiMaggio Autographed Official American League Baseball

DiMaggio may be best known for marrying the legendary Marilyn Monroe, but when Marilyn came back from entertaining American Troops in Korea and told Joe, “You’ve never heard such cheering,” Joe most honestly replied, “Yes, I have.”

Joe had heard the cheers of the Bronx faithful during his 9 World Series Championships with the New York Yankees. Joe had heard the cheers during each of his three AL MVP seasons. Joe had heard the cheers while setting perhaps baseball’s most difficult record to break, hitting safely in 56 straight games during the 1941 season.

The Yankee Clipper remains one of baseball’s iconic legends and most recognizable names. Joe autographed this baseball in beautiful ballpoint pen and penned a sweet spot beauty.

Ted Williams Autographed Official American League Baseball

Ted Williams Autographed Official American League Baseball

The Splendid Splinter set out on a baseball career with one goal: to become the greatest hitter who ever lived. While it may be argued interminably by baseball aficionados whether he ever achieved his goal, Ted remains the last person to hit more than .400 with .406 in 1941.

Ted could always point to his TWO American League Triple Crowns as persuasive evidence of his incredible hitting ability, a feat unmatched in AL history. While Boston fans continued to pine over winning a World Championship, Ted’s hitting exploits could always be counted on as a point of Boston pride.

Ted autographed this baseball in beautiful ballpoint pen and penned a huge, sweet spot beauty.

Barry Bonds, Hank Aaron and Babe Ruth better be ready, a new member of Major League Baseball’s 700 Home Run Club is coming…and when his career is complete, Alex Rodriguez may have hit more home runs than any one of them. A-Rod continues to chase many of the all-time hitting records and baseball’s highest paid and highest profile athlete has three American League MVP awards and 14 All-Star nominations to his credit.

When Derek Jeter hangs them up, it’s likely that Rodriguez will be the Captain of the New York Yankees. Rodriguez autographed the baseball in beautiful ballpoint pen. PSA/DNA has affixed a sticker of authenticity opposite of the autograph.
